What an amazing day! We experienced the most authentic eco tour we could wish for. We had a wonderful trip to their family village West of Hanoi. We received a very warm welcome by their family, in the beautiful village we made a cycling tour through the rice fields, made a boat trip on the river, learned to cook a Vietnamese lunch and we saw how they made Tofu from scratch, which is really hard work! It was heartwarming to see how the whole family was involved in our visit, it was a wonderful experience we won’t forget. A big thank you to you all! We can strongly recommend! Natasha & family

Known a lot about life in Vietnamese villages I took Ba Vi eco tour in the end of June. It took only one day but it had lots of activities: cycling, cooking, gardening, picking the tea leaves, fishing. I visited three villages and had known a lot about lifestyle of Vietnamese farmers. People were very nice and friendly there, they showed me how to harvest the tea leaves, do fishing with net traps, make tofu and unshell the rice, some of the things I tried by myself. I also learnd how to make some Vietnamese dishes which we had for lunch. What I really liked in this tour is that it was very natural, I saw the real life of people there, it didn’t look like the show to entertain tourists. It was quite hot the day I went to Ba Vi so my favourite part of the tour was fishing and boating. It is better to wear sport shoes as you will do plenty of walking and cycling.

Must Do - visit Vietnam village & experience people & real life This day was so special!! Dzung from JET Travel has personally created this tour visiting her home village, meeting her own relatives. We visited the family home where the wider family meet on special holidays to pay respect to their ancestors. Here we also made our own fresh rice paper rolls. We took a bike tour for around 6kms through the village, along some very pretty spots with lake scenes, then road between the rice fields. After stopping at a cousin's farm (with many different fruit trees & crops) we then walked through another part of the village, visiting the hospital, we watched some rice being milled in another place, we then watched TOFU being made & saw some very friendly pigs playing. On the way home we visited a Tea Farm, owned by an ex-Vietcong veteran. This was so special asking him personal questions about his experiences in the war. He was lucky to survive a bullet graze to the head & of course the agent orange & other chemical warfare. A super special day!!
