Depart from Bangkok in the morning and drive north to Ayutthaya. Upon arrival, hop on a “Kermit” Tuk Tuk (a special type of motorized Tuk Tuk available only in Ayutthaya and Trang province in the South) to discover the magnificent ruins and ancient temples in the historical park. Briefly stop near the Muslim quarter and sample one of the most famous delights of Ayutthaya – candy floss roti. If time permits, visit local houses to see how handicrafts such as palm leaf Fish mobiles are produced. You will then enjoy Thai lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon, enjoy a leisurely long-tailed boat ride to Bang Pa In Summer Palace and explore the majestic royal mansions which are usually quiet in the afternoons. Breakfast at hotel and proceed to Uthai Thani. Head to see the Crystal and Golden Halls of Wat Tha Sung. Head-up the mountain to visit Wat Sangklat Rattanakhiri, for the magnificant bird-eye view of Uthai Thani. Continue driving further north to Phitsanulok, lunch and visit to Wat Mahathat featuring Thailand’s most beautiful Buddha image – Phra Puttachinnarat. Visit to Cha Tawee folk museum. Early wake-up to experience alms offering to Buddhist monks. Visit Sukhothai Historical Park which was once a walled city surrounded by a moat, the park contains almost 200 ruined chedis in remarkable condition. See the main sites of the Historical Park. Bike ride possible in supplement in the historical park. A nice and easy way to stroll around the ruins! Continue to have the sumptuous local organic lunch served in traditional Thai style at the open Sala overlooking the rice fields. Proceed to Lampang, a large trading centre during the 19th Century. Visit Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, one of the most spectacular temples in Thailand, being dated back to 1486 and believed to be one of the oldest wooden buildings in Thailand. Visit Wat Pong Sanook, a temple awarded by UNESCO for Culture Heritage Conservation provides an inspirational model of community-led conservation in saving a unique Lanna temple. Depart to explore the Lanna morning lifestyle at the local market. Depart from Lampang with a stop at archaeological gate pass “Pratu Pha” which it historical paintings are believed to be the longest in Southeast Asia, aged over than 3,000 years old. Then continue north to Phayao situated on the scenic Kwan (Lake) Phayao. Visit the interesting Wat Analyo with its eclectic mix of religious architecture and iconography perched on a hilltop with views of the Lake. Arrive at Chiang Rai late afternoon, visit Wat Rong Khun with its unique “kanok” architecture. Continue your visits with another famous temple in the town, Wat Phra Kaew with its beautiful brass and copper Buddha image. Overnight in Chiang Rai

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Mae Sai, the northernmost Thai town on the Myanmar border. Walk around the local market, and continue to visit Chiang Saen on the steep banks of Mae Khong River, opposite of Laos where you will see some magnificent ancient ruins and temples. Take a boat ride along the Mekong River to get a closer look at Laos and Burma. In the afternoon, head South-West towards Chiang Mai. Drive up the mountain to Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the temple on the mountain, and the most sacred in North Thailand. Your experienced guide will explain the story of the temple, the white elephant and lead you around its impressive chedi and show its beautiful murals. In the late afternoon, the sunset will leave tourist masses a very special atmosphere when stepping out the temple grounds. Step 2: Book Extra Services
This step meets your needs in booking optional services like transfer, visa, kayaking or other interesting activities related to your current booking.

Step 3: Submit Booking
Here you can review, add or remove your booking items, complete and submit your booking form.
After your booking is submitted, the system navigates to a ‘Thank you page and send you an automatic email listing all the services you requested.
Our travel consultant will get in contact with you within 01 working day to inform about the service availability & payment.
Step 4: Confirm Availability & Deposit
1. Check availability :
After receiving your booking request, our consultant will check the availability of the services. If the services are available, our consultant will send you a payment link for the deposit by email, otherwise we will give you some alternative suggestions.
Notice: our email may go to your spam mailbox, please check your spam mailbox if you don’t receive our response in one working day.
After receiving the payment link in the email sent from our consultant, please make the deposit as soon as possible to secure your booking. When we receive your deposit payment, our consultant will reserve the services for your booking as following:
If all of the services are reserved successfully, we will send you a Confirmation Email including the deposit invoice and other useful information
If the services are fully booked and are not available, we will inform you and suggest other options. In case you no longer want to book these services, we will refund all of the deposit amount.
Notice: Your booking will NOT be confirmed until we send you the Confirmation email. The remaining balance can be paid later – before departure date. For some urgent bookings or special types of promotion, 100% of the total cost will be required.
Step 5: Final Payment
The full payment must be made before your departure date. The exact deadline will be confirmed by our travel consultant depending on each service you booked.
The remaining balance can be paid by Cash (VND, USD, AUD, EUR) or by credit card. For the customers who’re going to stay in Hanoi, we are able to setup a direct meeting to collect the final payment.
Notice: Payment by cash on arrival is only applied for trips starting from Hanoi and the arrival date is before the payment deadline (confirmed by our travel consultant). All currencies are exchanged by local rate.
At the end of booking process, on the “Make a booking” page, you can enter any special requests into the “Special Request” box before submitting your booking. Another easy way is sending us your special request directly by email.
The deposit is required to guarantee your reservation (tours, hotels, transfer, etc.). After receiving your deposit, we’re going to reserve the services for you. So the deposit is required to secure your booking. Normally, 30% of total cost will be required for deposit at the booking time. Normally Journey Expedition Travel includes two meals each day during tour: Breakfast and Lunch. You will have the freedom to make your own dinner choice.
It is normally served at the hotel where you stay. Depending on the hotel, the breakfast would be in western style, local style, or a combination.
Lunches are usually set menu at handpicked local restaurant with comfortable dining environment where you can rest assure to taste the local flavor. All restaurants arranged by Indochina Odyssey Tours selected carefully and evaluated constantly based on customer feedback and our on-site inspection.
Dinners will not be included in your meal plan unless you have that requirement. Enjoying the local food could be one of your best experiences in “tasty” Indochina area. This is why we provide you this flexibility of food choice. Your private guide will always give you good suggestions based on your preferences.
