    1. Day1 Yangon Arrival

      Activities:Yangon arrival, hotel transfer, hotel check-in, half-day city tour

      Upon your arrival at Yangon International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and then transferred to your hotel for check in.

      Afternoon is time for our half day Yangon city tour, starting by visiting Sule Pagoda which is Myanmar’s oldest pagoda of 2,500 years old. Next, we will drive you to Karaweik Hall, a gold gilded magnificent palace in ship design located on Kandawgyi Lake, a landmark of Yangon. This floating barge is an ideal spot to capture the peacefully setting of the lake, with its tree-lined shores.

      As the sun is about to set, experience the wonder of the 98 meter high Shwedagon Pagoda, being left breathless with its vivid color and sacred atmosphere.

    2. Day2 Yangon - Flight to Nyaung U - Bagan

      Activities:Fly to Nyaung U, drive to Bagan; access Bagan’s pagodas; see sunset on Ayeyarwaddy River

      After having breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for a domestic flight to Nyaung U. As you arrive, we will drive you to your hotel in Bagan to check in. After that, discover Bagan – the land of thousands antiquated pagodas, one after another among green bushes.

      Start our trip by visiting Shwezigon Pagoda, the first gold pagoda built in Burma enshrining Gautama Buddha’s relics and Ananda Temple, the home of four huge Buddha standing statues – each faces one of the four cardinal directions. Afterward, more temple visitations are carried out as we take you to Gubyaukgyi Temple at Myinkaba – an Indian style pagoda built in 1113 whose exteriors are still in good condition, Htilominlo Temple whose name means ”blessings of the three worlds” containing four Buddha images facing four directions on its first floor, and Sulamani Temple – a Buddhist edifice rebuilt in 1994 from which Htilominlo Temple was built after.

      To finish your day in Bagan, enjoy sunset along the Ayarwaddy River.

    3. Day3 Bagan

      Activities:Explore Nyaung U Market, Phan Saw village, lacquerware workshop, Bagan Archaeological Museum, Buddhist temples; enjoy sunset

      After having breakfast, wander around Nyaung U market and then walk to Phaw Saw village to see how locals live their life. Next, move to Minnanthu village to visit two of its pagodas: Lemyethna Temple whose name means ’four-sided pagoda’ as it owns four entrances at four cardinal directions – each one leads to a giant pillar holding four Buddha images; and Payathonzu Temple – containing three temples joint via narrow passages, its name means ’temple of three Buddhas’. Stop by local lacquer ware workshop to observe how skilled craftsmen make this part of Bagan’s fame.

      In the afternoon, head to Bagan Archaeological Museum where you can learn a lot about the history, people and culture of Myanmar as well as Buddhism through a rich diversity of exquisite Buddha images and huge sandstone inscriptions. Next, visit Manuha Temple – a two-storey rectangular edifice containing three sitting Buddha images and a statue of Buddha accessing Nirvana and Dhammayazika, a five-sided pagoda complex where in each side there is a small temple housing a Buddha statue.

      Highlight of today tour is the breathtaking sunset view at Shwesandaw Pagoda, the second tallest Buddhist construction in Bagan.

    4. Day4 Bagan - Flight to Heho - Nyuang Shwe (Inle Lake)

      In the early morning, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Heho, the primary air gateway to Inle Lake. It takes one hour to drive from Heho to Inle; along the way, soothe yourself with cool weather and peaceful settings. Drop by a Shan paper umbrella workshop to how skillful locals are to create these amazing handcrafts. Also, visit Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery which was constructed completely from teak and painted red.

      Now you are at Inle Lake, one of the most renowned destinations of Myanmar. Take a boat to reach your hotel and check in. Discover how amazingly beautiful the lake is through a boat trip, catching into sight the scenic settings of lush green floating gardens, lovely villages and pagodas nearby.

    5. Day5 Inle Lake

      Activities:Explore ancient stupas and Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery at Indein, visit vineyard

      After having breakfast, start your full day of sightseeing at local floating market where various goods made by Shan State’s hill tribe people can be found. Then, sail across a small canal for about 40 minutes to reach Indein village located at the lake’s western bank. As you arrive, take a march on a covered stairway leading up to see the ancient stupas as well as its surrounding settings – which is quite worthy, bringing you a tranquil and nostalgic feeling.

      In the afternoon, visit Nga Phe Kyaung which is much known as ’Jumping Cat Monastery’ with its cats taught to jump through hoops and expressive Buddha images of different styles. Next, proceed to the northeastern shore of Inle Lake and taste wines from Red Mountain Estate – Myanmar’s best known vineyard.

    6. Day6 Inle Lake - Flight to Yangon - Afternoon City Tour

Afterward, head to Mindhamma Hill to contemplate the world’s largest Buddha marble statue placed in Kyauktawgyi Pagoda (named Lawka Chantha Abaya Laba Muni) and observe the white elephants – a sign of peace and prosperity

      Have dinner and stay overnight in Yangon.

    The booking process is represented through 5 steps below:

    Step 1: Check Rates

    Fill in the numbers of adults, children and infants of your group, enter your departure date and click ‘Check Rates’ button, you will see the accommodation prices.

    Once you selected an accommodation, click ‘Book It’ button to continue.

    Tips: To get more special discounts, please take a look at ‘Trip saving for booking together’ section where you can check rates and get a discount for booking 02 services at the same time. The discount amount ranges from US$3 to US$60 per room per night (hotel) or per pax (tour).

    Step 2: Book Extra Services

    This step meets your needs in booking optional services like transfer, visa, kayaking or other interesting activities related to your current booking.

    Tips: Don’t forget to book hotels, tours together in this step! It’s a smart way to get more savings.

    Step 3: Submit Booking

    Here you can review, add or remove your booking items, complete and submit your booking form.

    After your booking is submitted, the system navigates to a ‘Thank you page and send you an automatic email listing all the services you requested.

    Our travel consultant will get in contact with you within 01 working day to inform about the service availability & payment.

    Step 4: Confirm Availability & Deposit

    1. Check availability :

    After receiving your booking request, our consultant will check the availability of the services. If the services are available, our consultant will send you a payment link for the deposit by email, otherwise we will give you some alternative suggestions.

    Notice: our email may go to your spam mailbox, please check your spam mailbox if you don’t receive our response in one working day.

    2. Deposit:

    After receiving the payment link in the email sent from our consultant, please make the deposit as soon as possible to secure your booking. When we receive your deposit payment, our consultant will reserve the services for your booking as following:

    If all of the services are reserved successfully, we will send you a Confirmation Email including the deposit invoice and other useful information

    If the services are fully booked and are not available, we will inform you and suggest other options. In case you no longer want to book these services, we will refund all of the deposit amount.

    Notice: Your booking will NOT be confirmed until we send you the Confirmation email. The remaining balance can be paid later – before departure date. For some urgent bookings or special types of promotion, 100% of the total cost will be required.

    Step 5: Final Payment

    The full payment must be made before your departure date. The exact deadline will be confirmed by our travel consultant depending on each service you booked.

    The remaining balance can be paid by Cash (VND, USD, AUD, EUR) or by credit card. For the customers who’re going to stay in Hanoi, we are able to setup a direct meeting to collect the final payment.

    Notice: Payment by cash on arrival is only applied for trips starting from Hanoi and the arrival date is before the payment deadline (confirmed by our travel consultant). All currencies are exchanged by local rate.

    At the end of booking process, on the “Make a booking” page, you can enter any special requests into the “Special Request” box before submitting your booking. Another easy way is sending us your special request directly by email.

    The deposit is required to guarantee your reservation (tours, hotels, transfer, etc.). After receiving your deposit, we’re going to reserve the services for you. So the deposit is required to secure your booking. Normally, 30% of total cost will be required for deposit at the booking time.     Normally Journey Expedition Travel includes two meals each day during tour: Breakfast and Lunch. You will have the freedom to make your own dinner choice.

    Breakfast

    It is normally served at the hotel where you stay. Depending on the hotel, the breakfast would be in western style, local style, or a combination.

    Lunch

    Lunches are usually set menu at handpicked local restaurant with comfortable dining environment where you can rest assure to taste the local flavor. All restaurants arranged by Indochina Odyssey Tours selected carefully and evaluated constantly based on customer feedback and our on-site inspection.

    Dinner

    Dinners will not be included in your meal plan unless you have that requirement. Enjoying the local food could be one of your best experiences in “tasty” Indochina area. This is why we provide you this flexibility of food choice. Your private guide will always give you good suggestions based on your preferences.
