      Discover three of Bangkok’s finest temples: Wat Traimit houses a striking 3-metre tall Golden Buddha image – a gleaming, 5-ton figure of solid gold. Wat Pho houses the highly revered giant Reclining Buddha and traditional massage school, while Wat Benjabophit is famous for its elegant, white marble facade and Buddha images lining the cloister walls behind the main chapel. Alternatively, combine a tour to the three temples above with a visit to the Grand Palace. Inside its 61-acre complex, you’ll encounter what is undoubtedly one of the wonders of the world, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew). Overnight in Bangkok

    3. Day3 River Kwai – Kanchanaburi

      You’ll be picked up early this morning for the next stage of your Thailand trip; travelling by air-conditioned minibus to the River Kwai accompanied by an english-speaking guide. First stop will be the Samut Sakhon ’train market’ where you’ll get to try your haggling skills. Afterwards you’ll continue to the famous Bridge over the River Kwai, where you’ll take a train ride along a stretch of the infamous Burma Death Railway. On arrival at the small station, a tasty lunch will be served and you’ll step into a longtail boat. This boat will drift along the River Kwai, deep into the thick evergreen jungle. Just fourty minutes later, you’ll arrive at your floating bamboo bungalow on the river. You’ll have your own room with a swimming jetty and a hammock. There’s no electricity, and you’ll eat an ambient dinner by the light of flickering oil lamps. Seated at long tables, you’ll share the meal with your fellow travelers with a background chorus of jungle sounds.

    4. Day4 River Kwai – Kanchanaburi

      Activities:Ride to Erawan Waterfall, visit to the JEATH War Museum and the Memorial Cemetery

      Waking up from a night in the jungle and sail along the river by boat for the hour long ride to the Erawan Waterfalls (400 Baht, approx £8 entrance fee paid locally). The waterfall has seven different levels, dropping a total height of 1500m. You can reach the top in about 1½ hours depending on your walking speed, but you’ll be duly rewarded for your efforts. Sparkling water cascades down into bright turquoise pools against a backdrop of smooth limestone rocks. You’ll have three hours here, so don’t forget your swimsuit. At the end of the day the guide will drop you off at your friendly hotel in Kanchanburi. From here it’s only a short walk to the JEATH War Museum and the Memorial Cemetery (option not included).

    5. Day5 Kanchanaburi - Night train to Chiang Mai

      After breakfast in the morning, you have free time before taking the bus back to Bankok for the night train to Chiang Mai Early in the evening you’ll take the overnight sleeper train to Chiang Mai. When you’re ready for bed let the train gently rock you to sleep. If you’re a light sleeper, don’t forget to bring along your ear plugs. You’ll be woken an hour before arrival in Chiang Mai to continue your trip.

    6. Day6 Arrival in Chiang Mai - Free time

    8. Day8 Chaing Mai - Jungle trek, Elephant Ride and Hilltribe stay

      Today you’ll begin your two day trek in the breathtaking mountains surrounding Chiang Mai – another great highlight of your Thailand holiday. You’ll be collected from your hotel and travel by bus to a local market. From here you’ll continue to an elephant camp in Keng Keud for an elephant ride. Lunch will be served in the jungle and you’ll begin trekking once you’ve finished. The trail has a few steps hills but most of it is relatively easy if you have a good level of fitness. You’ll trek for about 2.5 – 3 hours until you reach the Palong village Pang Hoo. The Palong recently moved to Thailand from Burma and there are only a handful of Palong villages in Northern Thailand. They wear distinctive clothes, mostly in red, with rattan hoops worn around the waist. Your accommodation is simple – a small wooden hut, just like the villagers, with a mattress on the bamboo floor. A mosquito net is also provided

    9. Day9 Jungle trek and Bamboo Rafting - Chaing Mai

      After breakfast you’ll begin today’s trek. You’ll hike for about an hour and a half to the Karen village of Thakilek. After a short rest you’ll travel by bus to a riverside camp where a bamboo raft will be prepared for you. You’ll take your place on the raft and the helmsman, armed with a long pole, will float you peacefully down the river. On the way back to Chiang Mai you’ll stop to visit an orchid farm, arriving back into Chiang Mai at about 5pm

    10. Day10 Chiang Mai – Ayutthaya

      Activities:Free time at your leisure, travel to Ayutthaya

      (Travel time approx: 10 hours) After breakfast, spend time at your leisure. Late afternoon, heading to the railway station. After stocking up on a few snacks for the trip, your tour continues south to Ayutthaya on the overnight sleeper train.

We’ll arrange your comfortable second-class couchette aboard the air conditioned sleeper train down to Surat Thani, the gateway to the tropical islands of the south

    13. Day13 Surat Thani - Ko Phangan

      (Travel time approx: 2 hours) When you arrive in Surat Thani, you’ll make your way to the ferry port where you’ll take the 3-hour boat ride across the sunny Gulf of Thailand to Ko Phangan. Ko Phangan is known for its full moon parties. These parties are held on Haad Rin beach during the full moon and attract thousands of people from across the world. If you like, you can have your visit to Ko Pha Ngan coincide with the full moon, giving you the opportunity to join the legendary party.

      After breakfast you’ll head over to the Ko Pha Ngan pier on your own and you’ll buy a ticket for the ferry to the tropical island of Ko Samui; the end point of your Thailand trip from Bangkok to Ko Samui. The ferry ride will take about an hour and a half. Arrive in Ko Samui and make your way to the hotel. Free time in the afternoon

    The Prices showed on our system is in USD (United State Dollar), INCLUDED Tax and Service Charge but EXCLUDED Bank Fee. Please check carefully the inclusion and exclusion of services before booking. Included and excluded services will also be listed in our confirmation email.

    Before making a reservation, please check the price of the tour by filling the number of pax, choosing the departure date, and clicking “Check Rates” button in “Check Rates” tab. Click “Book It” button to reserve the accommodation type you prefer for the tour and process to the next step. Please select the optional transfer services or extra services of your choice from the list then click ‘Add To Cart’ button to navigate to the next step.

    Re-check the services you would like to book then click “Submit Booking” (“Send My Inquiry” for Land Tours) to navigate to the final step. At the final step, fill your necessary information in the detail information form.

    The booking process is represented through 5 steps below:

    Step 1: Check Rates

    Fill in the numbers of adults, children and infants of your group, enter your departure date and click ‘Check Rates’ button, you will see the accommodation prices.

    Once you selected an accommodation, click ‘Book It’ button to continue.

    Tips: To get more special discounts, please take a look at ‘Trip saving for booking together’ section where you can check rates and get a discount for booking 02 services at the same time. The discount amount ranges from US$3 to US$60 per room per night (hotel) or per pax (tour).

    Step 2: Book Extra Services

    This step meets your needs in booking optional services like transfer, visa, kayaking or other interesting activities related to your current booking.

    Tips: Don’t forget to book hotels, tours together in this step! It’s a smart way to get more savings.

    Step 3: Submit Booking

    Here you can review, add or remove your booking items, complete and submit your booking form.

    After your booking is submitted, the system navigates to a ‘Thank you page and send you an automatic email listing all the services you requested.

    Our travel consultant will get in contact with you within 01 working day to inform about the service availability & payment.

    Step 4: Confirm Availability & Deposit

    1. Check availability :

    After receiving your booking request, our consultant will check the availability of the services. If the services are available, our consultant will send you a payment link for the deposit by email, otherwise we will give you some alternative suggestions.

    Notice: our email may go to your spam mailbox, please check your spam mailbox if you don’t receive our response in one working day.

    2. Deposit:

    After receiving the payment link in the email sent from our consultant, please make the deposit as soon as possible to secure your booking. When we receive your deposit payment, our consultant will reserve the services for your booking as following:

    If all of the services are reserved successfully, we will send you a Confirmation Email including the deposit invoice and other useful information

    If the services are fully booked and are not available, we will inform you and suggest other options. In case you no longer want to book these services, we will refund all of the deposit amount.

    Notice: Your booking will NOT be confirmed until we send you the Confirmation email. The remaining balance can be paid later – before departure date. For some urgent bookings or special types of promotion, 100% of the total cost will be required.

    Step 5: Final Payment

    The full payment must be made before your departure date. The exact deadline will be confirmed by our travel consultant depending on each service you booked.

    The remaining balance can be paid by Cash (VND, USD, AUD, EUR) or by credit card. For the customers who’re going to stay in Hanoi, we are able to setup a direct meeting to collect the final payment.

    Notice: Payment by cash on arrival is only applied for trips starting from Hanoi and the arrival date is before the payment deadline (confirmed by our travel consultant). All currencies are exchanged by local rate.

    At the end of booking process, on the “Make a booking” page, you can enter any special requests into the “Special Request” box before submitting your booking. Another easy way is sending us your special request directly by email.

    The deposit is required to guarantee your reservation (tours, hotels, transfer, etc.). After receiving your deposit, we’re going to reserve the services for you. So the deposit is required to secure your booking. Normally, 30% of total cost will be required for deposit at the booking time.     Normally Journey Expedition Travel includes two meals each day during tour: Breakfast and Lunch. You will have the freedom to make your own dinner choice.

    Breakfast

    It is normally served at the hotel where you stay. Depending on the hotel, the breakfast would be in western style, local style, or a combination.

    Lunch

    Lunches are usually set menu at handpicked local restaurant with comfortable dining environment where you can rest assure to taste the local flavor. All restaurants arranged by Indochina Odyssey Tours selected carefully and evaluated constantly based on customer feedback and our on-site inspection.

    Dinner

    Dinners will not be included in your meal plan unless you have that requirement. Enjoying the local food could be one of your best experiences in “tasty” Indochina area. This is why we provide you this flexibility of food choice. Your private guide will always give you good suggestions based on your preferences.

    If you have certain food allergies or special requirements such as vegetarian food, let us know. We will do our best to accommodate your needs
